Many other museums, the Convention Center, and the White House are within easy walking distance.

Parking
Metered street parking is minimal. Parking garages include:
- CarrPark at 1450 F Street, NW
- CarrPark at 1201 F Street, NW
- PMI at 1345 G Street, NW
- PMI at 1301 H Street, NW
There are several other parking garages near the museum on 13th Street between I Street and New York Avenue,
on I Street between 12th and 13th Streets, and on 12th Street between G Street and New York Avenue. Costs range from $10 to $13 for all-day rates. All of these garages have a limited number of available spaces during the week. They are generally closed on Sundays, but street parking is free and more widely available then.
