Role Model Workshop: Book as Sculpture with Lynn Sures 10/24/2009 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Free for ages 13-18; reservations required: email reservations@nmwa.org or call 202-783-7370 Back by popular demand, local artist Lynn Sures guides teens in the creation of a hand-made sculptural book, inspired by unusual materials and a discussion of NMWA's exhibition, Hard Copy: The Book as Sculpture. Participants will view works by Sures and consider the many possibilities offered by the sculptural book form. Sures is associate professor of Fine Arts at the Corcoran College of Art + Design, where she teaches classes on the sculptural book and papermaking. She has taught workshops around the world.
