Women's History Month

Help us improve Wikipedia articles about women artists.

In honor of Women's History Month, the National Museum of Women in the arts, the Archives of American Art, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum are teaming up to organize a workshop and edit-a-thon focused on improving Wikipedia entries related to notable women artists and art world figures.

Bring your laptop and photo ID to the Archives of American Art or participate virtually by joining the conversation here.

SCHEDULE:

  • 10–11 a.m.: Welcome and Editing Tutorial
  • 11–11:15 a.m.: Break
  • 11:15 a.m.–12 p.m.: Curatorial staff presentation: women in the Archives
  • 12–1 p.m.: Lunch generously provided by Wikimedia DC
  • 1:30–4:30 p.m.: Edit-a-Thon
  • 4:30–5:00 p.m.: Visit to the exhibition "A Day at the Museum," in the Lawrence A. Fleischman Gallery

RESERVATIONS:

Reservations required. Space is limited to 20 non-staff attendees.
