Covers a wide range of topics in art history, including advertising art, antiques, archaeology, sculpture, television, and textiles. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. In addition to articles, the Art Index lists reproductions of artworks that appear in indexed periodicals.

Provides full text of selected scholarly journals in a number of fields in PDF format. Note: Journals in JSTOR usually do not include the most recent three to five years. For more recent articles, use one of the other indexes listed in this section.
