Women in the Arts magazine
Special Anniversary Double Issue: January 2007
Women in the Arts is the only magazine dedicated to recognizing the achievements of women artists, musicians, authors, and contributors to world culture. With a circulation of 60,000 and a pass-along rate of 2.3 readers per copy*, the special anniversary issue of Women in the Arts magazine will be read by 138,000 supporters of the unique mission of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.
Our readers come from 48 US states—only 20% reside in the Washington DC metropolitan area—making Women in the Arts a truly national magazine. Affluent, educated, well-travelled and passionately devoted to celebrating women’s accomplishments in the arts, our audience presents an excellent marketing opportunity for advertisers. The average Women in the Arts reader is a 61.4-year-old woman with a post-graduate degree and a household income of $89,200. This places our readers in the wealthiest demographic in the United States, with the most financial assets, discretionary income and purchasing power.
Women in the Arts enjoys a high read-rate. Nearly one-third of our readers say they read “all” of every issue; an additional 39.5% read “most” of each issue. Only 6% reported reading “little or none” of each issue. Nearly 30% of our readers save every issue; another 26% pass them along to friends or relatives; and one in ten give their issues of Women in the Arts to a doctor’s office, library, or other public venue.
