Each year, the museum's Literary Series brings five emerging or established writers to the museum to give public readings of their work and lead creative writing workshops for a targeted group of Washington, D.C., public high school students.

The readings introduce women writers and offer audiences an opportunity to interact and communicate with the authors and one another. Student workshops encourage individual creativity, foster a love of reading and writing, and provide practical career guidance for aspiring young writers.

The museum also hosts special literary events separate from the Literary Series.

Please consult the Calendar for upcoming Literary Events.
