Join us for a virtual conversation, Octavia Tried to Tell Us: Parable For Today's Pandemic

UCLA Lecturer and American Book Award winner Tananarive Due and Dr. Monica Coleman, author of Bipolar Faith, are hosting a series of conversations titled Octavia Tried to Tell Us. In partnership with the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the discussions will explore themes in Octavia Butler's chilling sci-fi novel Parable of the Sower. Guests will also discuss Butler's influence on contemporary art and culture.

This conversation features guest speakers Ayana A. H. Jamieson, founder and creative director of Octavia E. Butler Legacy Network and librettist, composer, and music director, Toshi Reagon.
