Gallery Talk: An Artist’s Perspective

Gain a unique perspective on our dynamic special exhibition.

Artist Freya Grand will lead a special gallery talk through her exhibition Freya Grand: Minding the Landscape, on view February 1–May 5, 2013. The exhibition presents images of mountains, seashores, plains, and forests derived from Grand’s extensive travels.

This International Women’s Day, learn more about the travels, inspirations, and process of the Washington, D.C.-based artist.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Grand received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and has taken additional courses in advanced oil painting, intaglio, and traditional Japanese wood block printing. Her work has been widely exhibited both locally and in Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Provincetown.
