NOV 20 Gallery Talk: “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”

Champagne, caviar, and photographs of the Ricas y Famosas!

Looking for some artistic and intellectual nourishment during your lunch break? Join us on Wednesdays throughout the fall for short gallery talks to explore highlights from special exhibitions and NMWA’s collection with museum staff.

This week, join Education Intern Brittany Carpenter to examine works in contemporary photographer Daniela Rossell’s series Ricas y Famosas.

Rossell began this series in 1994 to explore the private lives of wealthy Mexican women in their lavish, sometimes exotic, domestic spheres. Response to these photographs proved to be public and profound.
