OCT 09 Gallery Talk and Walk: Chakaia Booker—Inside and Out

This talk promises to offer rarified, fresh air while taking in Chakaia Booker’s tire sculptures.

Looking for some artistic and intellectual nourishment during your lunch break? Join us on Wednesdays throughout the fall for short gallery talks to explore highlights from special exhibitions and NMWA’s collection with museum staff.

This week, join Associate Educator Addie L. Gayoso for a field trip to explore the tire-based sculptures of internationally known artist Chakaia Booker.

Acid Rain, a sculpture in the museum’s collection, as well as works featured in the New York Avenue Sculpture Project will be discussed. This gallery talk and walk will take place (acid) rain or shine!
