Virtual Educator Summer Camp Highlights

2025

• 224 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 16 states, Washington, D.C., and two countries outside of the United States, including Canada and Bermuda.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors, all of whom have connections to Women’s Studio Workshop: IBé Crawley, Ana Fernandez, Indigo Som, Skye Tafoya, and Imin Yeh.

2024

• 224 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 17 states, Washington, D.C., and seven countries outside of the United States, including Canada, Belgium, Bermuda, Nigeria.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors: Suzanne Coley, Emily Martin, Sarah Matthews, Priya Pereira, and Nathalie Ryan.

2023

• 264 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 22 states, Washington, D.C., and seven countries outside of the United States, including Australia, Canada, Bahrain, Bermuda, Mexico, Qatar, and Spain.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors: Alisa Banks, María Verónica San Martín, Susan Joy Share, Esther K. Smith, Karen Vaughan, and Imin Yeh.

2022

• 312 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 26 states, Washington, D.C., and five countries outside of the United States, including Canada, Bermuda, Iran, Italy, and the U.K.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors: artists Irene Chan, Robin Ha, Sarah Matthews, Kim Van Someren and educators Kris Grey and Sheya.

2021

• 403 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 26 states, Washington, D.C., and six countries outside of the United States, including Canada, Bermuda, England, Iran, Italy, and Japan.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors: artists Carol Barton, Julie Chen, Jamila Felton, Sarah Matthews, Maggie Pate, and Priya Pereira; and authors of Wicked Arts Assignments (2020), Melissa Bremmer and Emiel Heijnen.

2020

• 598 educators attended camp.
• Campers represented 22 states, Washington, D.C., and five countries outside of the United States, including Canada, England, Japan, Panama, Poland.
• We welcomed the following guest instructors: book artists Carol Barton, Colette Fu, Carol Todaro, and Jennifer White-Johnson; children’s book author and illustrator Adjoa Burrowes; author of You Are an Artist: Assignments to Spark Creation (2020), Sarah Urist Green; educator Abby Krolik; and collage artist Dafna Steinberg.
