Event Description

About the Event

Presented in partnership with the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, Queens features matriarchies and female leaders in the natural world. Guided by award-winning actress Angela Bassett’s powerful narration, the show brings the natural world into focus through the female lens for the very first time. The series was created with a female-led production team from across the planet.

Following the screening, join us for a conversation with Janet Han Vissering, senior vice president of development and production at National Geographic and Kelley Daley, NMWA director of public programs.
