Community Program: Sunday Knitting at NMWA

You know fiber is good for you!

Bring your own knitting or crochet project, take inspiration from the High Fiber—Women to Watch 2012 exhibition, and knit out loud. Museum staff will lead tours of High Fiber at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

The contemporary artists featured in this exhibition stitch, weave, knit, crochet, and wind. They transform fabric, felt, yarn, ribbon, wire, and single strands of silk organza into expressive forms that allude to nature, relationships, and the pleasure of making.

The community program is held in partnership with Looped Yarn Works located in Dupont Circle.
