Conversation, Culture & Creativity with Ana Mesia

Meet the artisan!

NWMA will host Ana Mesia, an artisan from Guatemala, to demonstrate her craft on the backstrap loom in this free drop-in program. Take part in an embroidery workshop, learn about traditional Guatemalan designs, and join the conversation about the importance of the artisan economy.

Visitors can learn about Living Threads Co.’s Global Artisan Exchange Program that supports social change for women in the arts, and take home their own unique piece of embroidered artwork.

Not required.

This program is presented in partnership with Puerta Abierta Atitlan and Living Threads Co.
