FREE Art Museum Day
Join us as we celebrate Art Museum Day with free admission!
Organized by the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) and held in concert with International Council of Museum’s (ICOM) International Museum Day, member museums across the United States, Canada, and Mexico will offer free or reduced admissions as part of their annual celebration of Art Museum Day.
This year’s theme for Art Museum Day is “Hyperconnected Museums,” a recognition of the many ways in which museums serve as central points of connectivity within their communities, both online and in person.
The National Museum of Women in the Arts will offer FREE admission to the public. When you visit, we encourage you to use social media to share your Art Museum Day experiences on your social networks with the hashtag #ArtMuseumDay.
Please note, beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18, the museum’s Great Hall and mezzanine level will be difficult to access due to an event setup. The collection galleries and special exhibition Women House will be open with free admission, but the Mezzanine Café will be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Special events provide essential support for our exhibitions and programs.
