Gallery Talk: Italian Women Artists in the Collection

Learn more about Italian women artists in NMWA’s collection during your lunch break.

Join art educator Elizabeth Keaney and curatorial assistant Stephanie Midon as they discuss Italian women artists in NMWAs collection as part of 2013—Year of Italian Culture in the United States.

Focusing on Elisabetta Sirani (1638–1665) and Lavinia Fontana (1552–1614), this talk will explore the significance of the artists’ contributions to 16th- and 17th-century Italian painting.

Presented in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy, Washington, D.C. For more information on the cultural initiative 2013—Year of Italian Culture in the United States, visit italyinus2013.org
