Shenson Chamber Music Concert: Mary Millben

A Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch
Artistic Director: Gilan Tocco Corn

Helen Hayes Award nominee Mary Millben, a versatile soprano, is making national and international headlines. As a featured soloist for President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush, she is quickly gaining a broad fan base.

Millben made her New York theatre debut at the Westchester Broadway Theatre starring in Ray Roderick’s Gershwin musical S’ Wonderful, in which she exuded “show stopping magnetism” (Times Herald-Record) through her “powerful voice, style and grace” (Rockland Lifestyle).

In addition, Millben sang at the 43rd Super Bowl halftime show with Bruce Springsteen and in the Barbra Streisand tribute at the 2008 Kennedy Center Honors. She was also a soloist in the 2008 National Symphony Orchestra Pops concert under the direction of the late Marvin Hamlisch and Dr. Joyce Garrett.
