Event Description

Youth

What do you get when two art museums committed to celebrating women artists collaborate? BMA x NMWA! This monthly talk show puts women artists and their artworks in conversation with each other, across two museums. Join educators from the Baltimore Museum of Art and the National Museum of Women in the Arts this month as they welcome Lebanese/Palestinian/American photographer Rania Matar. Matar captures photographs of female adolescence and womanhood both in the U.S., where she now lives, and in the Middle East, where she is from, to “focus on notions of identity and individuality, within the context of the underlying universality of these experiences.”

BMA x NMWA: Youth will livestream Tuesday, February 9, at 12 p.m. EST. The live stream will be available on both the BMA and NMWA Facebook pages.
