Prepare for the event by making sure you’re ready to create the specialty cocktail, named after Madame Yevonde’s “Goddesses Portraits.”

Ingredients for Cocktail:

  • 1.5 oz Hendrick’s Gin
  • 0.5 oz Dolin Blanc
  • 0.25 oz Ouzo or Sambuca
  • 0.25 oz lemon
  • 0.25 oz honey
  • 0.75 oz cinnamon-sage simple syrup
  • Top with 1.5-2 oz tonic water
  • 1 whole orange for garnish

Preferred Glassware: highball or collins glass

Additional Tools: shaker tine, ice, strainer, paring knife, fruit peeler, cutting board

Cinnamon-Sage Simple Syrup Recipe:

Makes about 1 quart; syrup will last 3-4 weeks.

  • Add equal parts sugar and water (32 oz each) to a medium saucepan on low heat and stir to incorporate. Do not let boil.
  • Add 6-7 cinnamon sticks and about a 1 cup sage leaves, and raise temperature to medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil.
  • Once mixture is boiling, lower temperature and let simmer for 12-15 minutes.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and strain off cinnamon sticks and sage. Let cool and put in nonreactive container. Keep refrigerated.
