Carol June Barton

Carol Barton teaches book art classes all over the U.S., she has curated many exhibitions of book arts, and she is the author of a series of interactive workbook.

The first living woman artist to be honored with a retrospective exhibition at the Musée du Louvre (1964), Sonia Delaunay blurred the line between “fine” art and “decorative” art.

Maria Sibylla Merian

Using her keen observational skills, Maria Sibylla Merian revolutionized both botany and zoology. From early childhood, she was interested in drawing insects and plants surrounding her.

Remedios Varo’s paintings combine Surrealist influences with a distinctive style that evokes mystical or eerie adventures.
