Help NMWA close the gender gap on Wikipedia!

Event Description

About the Event

Join NMWA and our partner, Wikimedia DC, for our annual Wikipedia Edit-a-thon to help close information gaps related to gender, feminism, and the arts. In celebration of the exhibition, Ruth Orkin: Women on the Move, we will edit the pages of intrepid and inspiring women photojournalists.

Anyone interested in learning more about editing Wikipedia, regardless of experience, gender, or background, is welcome to attend. We will provide tutorials, reference materials, internet access, and refreshments. All you need is a laptop, motivation to combat gender bias, and a belief in equal access to quality information resources.

This is a free, in-person event. Registration is required. Please bring your own laptop and charger.
