Dearest Frieda —

I saw your Dr.
Eloesser in October — Not very pleasantly —
He came to the hospital to look me
over before an operation — the
second slaughter in 8 months. I
went to pieces after Sydney died
in October & have had one damn
thing after another ever since.
Leo E. told me you were doing
fine & I was so happy to hear the

good news. He is such a darling &
he loves you as much as ever just
as I do, even though I never
hear from you, you little devil.
Peter is married to a charming
girl & they have produced the
most beautiful girl baby you ever
saw. They are living with me for
a while because I’m so lonely
without my man. I would so like
to hear more news from you. Give
my love to Diego & a big kiss for you

Shirley —
