358 West End Ave
April 28 —

Mes chers

How empty is New York
without you — There is no longer
any interest in 58th St-6th ave. —
And I really miss you like
hell —

You big bums, you shouldn’t
have gone away — but c’est la
Fatalité
— I only hope Detroit
isn’t as rotten as it seems to
be — and I hope you are
living in a nicer place than
the Barbizon —

How is Clifford? He must
be happy to have his chére
[illegible] with him —

Tell us about it all when
you have time, Frieda, old
dear and lets write often —

No special news —

l’Internationale!

Haven’t seen any one for
long — what is the use —
You know what I mean!
It gives me a pain in the
neck — traduit ” — Une douleur
au [cul]
— ” —

A propos — The cat is fine, but
makes caca all the time —
We shall take a photo of
her in action —

Otherwise all goes well —
Everything is as god damn
idiotic as ever, you know
what I mean —

The whole world stinks
and the only good idea of
the week has been my

plan of starting a company to
sell Hoover lax for the
constipated Democrats, tablets
with the face of Hoover printed
on them —

Haves you seen Lindbergh’s
baby?

Now I must clean the
house a little & help [Luce]
who does all the work —

I’ll write you soon, and
a letter to each of you —

I hope life is better than
this winter, that Diego’s health
is fine, that Frieda is happy
and I send you each a
big hug — Votre
