About the Gala

Join gala co-chairs Ashley Davis and Marlene Malek for a special night at the museum’s largest annual fundraising event, made possible by Dior. The Ambassador of France, Mr. Philippe Étienne will be our Honorary Diplomatic Chair. The evening will feature a seated dinner and entertainment. This year’s gala will honor Dior’s first woman Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, feminist artist Judy Chicago, and co-CEO and president of Ariel Investments Mellody Hobson each with NMWA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Proceeds from the Spring Gala benefit the museum’s special exhibitions, and diverse education and public programming initiatives, allowing us to champion women artists of the past, present, and future.

COVID-19 Information

All guests must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend the 2022 Spring Gala. Proof of vaccination should be shared ahead of the event. Please send to gala@nmwa.org. Guests must display a government-issued ID with the same name upon arrival at the gala. Sponsors are responsible for communicating these rules to their guests ahead of the gala. Mask requirements will be based on DC regulations, CDC recommendations, and NMWA policy at the time of the event.
