Art Chat @ Five: Collection on the Move around the World

Beneath a soft blue sky, a picturesque village nestles in a valley between a river in the extreme foreground and verdant mountains. Combining loose and discrete brushstrokes with a palette of greens and golds, the painting recalls Paul Cézanne’s late 19th-century landscapes.

Event Description

Collection on the Move around the World

We invite you to jumpstart your weekend with art: every Friday at 5 p.m. (ET), join NMWA educators for informal 45-minute art chats about selected artworks from NMWA’s collection. Each week a new sampling of artworks will be considered. You can even enjoy your favorite happy hour drink or snack during the sessions.

For the month of September, we’re asking YOU to vote on which artworks you want to discuss during Art Chats @ Five! If you haven’t already, follow @WomenInTheArts on Instagram and keep an eye on our Stories to cast your vote.

Registration is limited to 45 participants each week.

It’s simple to participate:

  1. Check out this week’s artworks, selected by the public.
  2. Submit the registration form to automatically receive a link to the program. A reminder email with link will also be sent the day of the program.
  3. Hop online and follow the instructions to join the conversation Friday at 5 p.m. (ET).
