Event Description

About the Event

Join National Museum of Women in the Arts staff for a special virtual celebration of the tenth anniversary of #5WomenArtists and the announcement of our newest advocacy initiative.

First launched in 2016, #5WomenArtists has been a viral success. The campaign elevated NMWA’s profile as a world leader in advancing gender equity in the arts, resulting in valuable partnerships and an expanded audience. The museum’s social media following has cumulatively increased over 200%, and #5WomenArtists has resulted in tangible, real-world impacts for artists and arts organizations.

Hear from NMWA’s Digital Engagement team on the ways you can be a part of our efforts to champion women in the arts.
