About the Event
Join us on the third Wednesday evening of each month for a creative and engaging after-hours experience!
Check out an interactive installation organized by Black Art Library, a Detroit-based mobile collection of Black visual art books and other art history ephemera. Black Art Library provides access to the rich legacy of Black art, aesthetics, and history. Additionally, make a bookmark, browse the Museum Shop, and listen to a performance by DC-based vocalist and songwriter Cecily.
The Black Art Library installation at NMWA Nights is curated by Asmaa Walton and organized by Elizabeth Ajunwa, director of the museum’s Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and Kelley Daley, director of public programs.
Admission includes two drink tickets (mocktails available) and access to the museum’s collection and special exhibitions.
