Event Description
About the Event
Join us in celebrating the opening of Samantha Box: Confluences, a new exhibition featuring the artist’s powerful photographs exploring race, gender, class, sexuality, and diaspora. Be the first to see the exhibition and attend a spotlight talk led by the artist and the exhibition curator, Orin Zahra. Learn tips and tricks to take your own photography to the next level, decorate a frame to showcase your photos, and find inspiration throughout the museum in a photography scavenger hunt, all while enjoying a set by DJ Xsa.
In the spirit of community, we’re partnering with N Street Village to host a donation drive. Visitors are encouraged to bring the following items:
- Crafting supplies, including yarn, knitting items, glitter, construction paper, etc.
- Cleaning supplies, including Clorox wipes, Swiffer items, floor cleaner, gloves, and other cleaning items.
Two drink tickets are included with admission; additional beverages and food are available for purchase.
All members can purchase tickets, even if the event is sold out; members at the Explorer level and above receive two free tickets to each NMWA Nights event.
Tickets go on sale November 6 at 10 am.
