About the Event

Join us for the NMWA Nights Bash, where art, movement, and community come alive throughout the museum. Explore the galleries, grab a drink, and immerse yourself in an evening of music, performances, art-making, and unexpected moments around every corner. 

Draw inspiration from the power and presence of abstract works in the exhibition Making Their Mark: Works from the Shah Garg Collection, and come dressed in a bold look that channels an artist, artwork, or creative movement.

Feel the rhythm of the night with performances by community partners The Lion’s Den DMV and chitra.MOVES, then hit the dance floor for a high-energy set from DJ Gabz. This bash is all about movement, expression, and letting loose together. 

Discover a stick-and-poke tattoo pop-up by Katie Heartbreaker (sign up on Katie’s Instagram @KatieHeartBreaker to reserve your spot). Rock some temporary tattoos, strike your best pose, and snap a photo in front of our Random Acts of Art Equity wall. Explore your aura with your own unique polaroid taken by Soulshine Aura Photography. Add a little flair to your look with a beaded pin art-making activity, then join us for a tour through the Making Their Mark exhibition. 

Dress up. Show out. Come ready to party! 

Two drink tickets are included with admission; additional beverages and food are available for purchase.

All members can purchase tickets, even if the event is sold out; members at the Explorer level and above receive two free tickets to each NMWA Nights event.
