The Tea: Like Water

A medium-skinned woman with long brown hair and wire framed glasses sits on a couch in front of a charcoal wall. She is wearing a wool rancher hat, a long sleeved white sweatshirt, a series of long gold necklaces, several beaded bracelets, and has henna tattoos on her fingers.
Join us online for a live performance from Like Water, followed by a look into her creative process.

Event Description

The Tea: Like Water

In this online series, women musicians perform original work via live-stream on the museum’s social media channels on the first Friday of the month. Each session includes a short interview, conducted over a cup of tea, which explores the artist’s creative process. The Tea proudly welcomes Like Water this month and will be live streaming on NMWA’s Facebook page and at nmwa.org/livestream.

By seamlessly blending electronic and acoustic instruments with transcendent vocals, Like Water is changing the way people experience music. She allows the audience to watch as she masterfully layers unique sounds while looping them on the spot.

The Tea is presented by the museum’s Women, Arts, and Social Change public program initiative.
