The Tea: Maysa

In this online series, women musicians perform original work via live-stream on the museum’s social media channels on the first Friday of the month. Each session includes a short interview, conducted over a cup of tea, which explores the artist’s creative process. The Tea proudly welcomes soul and jazz singer Maysa this month, and will be live streaming on NMWA’s Facebook page and at nmwa.org/livestream.

Grammy-nominated, Soul Train Award-winning, soul and jazz singer Maysa is celebrating her 30th year as a recording artists and 26th year as a solo artist in 2021. She has a unique, instantly identifiable vocal sound that encompasses both jazz and R&B.

The Tea is presented by the museum’s Women, Arts, and Social Change public program initiative.
