Event Description
About the Event
Celebrate Earth Day at NMWA Nights as we spotlight sustainability, creativity, and community. Groove to the beats of DJ Xsa, founder of Swap DC, while exploring ways to reduce waste and make smarter choices for the planet.
In partnership with Pact Collective, a nonprofit uniting the beauty industry to reduce packaging waste, we will host a beauty recycling drive to tackle the industry’s growing packaging problem. Last year, the beauty and wellness industry produced over 120 billion packaging units, but most aren’t curbside recyclable. That’s where Pact steps in, providing smarter, more sustainable solutions. Bring your clean empty beauty containers and help create a sustainable future for the beauty industry! We can accept:
- Plastic bottles and jars (smaller than a yogurt cup)
- Squeezable tubes (plastic and aluminum)
- Compacts, palettes, and lipstick tubes (free of all make up)
- Mascara wands, droppers, and applicators
- Toothpaste tubes, dental floss containers, and more!
All items must be clean and empty. Every bottle, jar, and tube makes a difference!
Plus, sip on cocktails; connect with community; and enjoy music, art, and eco-conscious vibes.
Tickets go on sale April 2 at 10 am. Two drink tickets are included with admission; additional beverages and food are available for purchase. All members can purchase tickets, even if the event is sold out; members at the Explorer level and above receive two free tickets to each NMWA Nights event.
