Dear Mrs. Rivera:
It was a great pleasure for
me and my friend Professor Hilde-
brand to pay you and Mr. Rivera
a visit a few weeks ago and
also to see your interesting home
as well as some of the work
you are doing there.
Ever since my first visit to
Mexico, in 1919, I have read and
talked to my college classes about
the paintings of Mr. Rivera and
have seen many of them by

this time.
Now I am at home again
after another very pleasant sum-
mer in Mexico. This was my
third summer there, and the
better I get acquainted with
your country the better I like
it. I hope to come back there
frequently.
Please write me whether you
can find time to make copies
of the pictures which you had
painted of yourself and of
Mr. Rivera, which I liked so
much, and kindly write me
how much they will cost.

I want them here in my
house as pictures of the most
important and most interesting
Mexicans that I ever met.
When I come to your coun-
try again, perhaps next sum-
mer, I want to come also
to your house and see
you and Mr. Rivera again.
With cordial greetings
and best wishes to both of
you, and looking forward
to the pleasure of hearing
from you, I remain
Sincerely yours,
Martin W. Storn
