Dear Señor and Dear Señora Rivera!
I have not the honor of knowing you,
but I know your works and know that
you are great painter of Mexiko.

Because an artist to be skilled in the
ways of hearts I come to you and to
Señora Rivera to beg to help me in foll-
owing affair.

I have seen the portrait of Señorita
[Jummri?], a daughter of a banker in the
capital of Mexiko, [living?] winter-abode
in Tlacotalpan, spring-abode in Jalapa.

The portrait of Señorita [illegible] was en-
cantado and I fall in love.

Now I beg of you and Señora to help me
to become an invitation through the father
and family for some time to become acquainted
this Señorita with the hop to obtain a
very good [illegible] wife.

There the [illegible] are poor we can
without help not come out.
I beg you and Señora heartly to find
this family and to help me to become
an invitation through this family or through
another befriended family, that I can learn
the life in Mexiko. Family and the
religion and particularly Señorita [illegible].

I was a German officer in the air-force
in the wars and [illegible]-officer to 1933
than from Hitler [illegible]. Unfortunately
without child (childless/marryed, but

I will go in divorce, if I can find a good
comrade. My wife is student on the
university in Mainz.

I beg your pardon for my bad English
in Germany it were going [illegible] and better.

I love nature, [childr?], animals, the arts and a life
in family.

And how large were my joy and my
thankfulness if I can become ac-
quainted with you and Señora Rivera.
