Event Description

Fierce February: Powerful People, Powerful Portraits

We invite you to jumpstart your weekend with art: every Friday at 5 p.m. (ET), join NMWA educators for informal 45-minute art chats about selected artworks from NMWA’s collection. Each week a new sampling of artworks will be considered. You can even enjoy your favorite happy hour drink or snack during the sessions.

February Art Chats will be presented as a four-part series. The first three sessions introduce attendees to artwork by some of the fiercest women in NMWA’s collection. The final session of the month is the inaugural Art Chat: Deep Dive, in which participants look at, respond to and discuss a single artwork from the past month’s chats.

Registration is limited to 45 participants each week.

This program is sold out. Email education@nmwa.org to be added to the waitlist.

It’s simple to participate:

  1. Check out this week’s artworks.
  2. Complete the registration request form for Friday’s video call.
  3. The week of the program, keep an eye out for an email that provides further information. The first 45 registrants will receive a meeting link; others will receive notification that the program is full.
  4. If you received the meeting link, hop online and follow the instructions to join the conversation Friday at 5 p.m. (ET).
