Event Description
About the Event
The Big Cake Exchange comes to NMWA for an afternoon full of cake, art, and community building.
The rules are simple: Bring a cake, eat many cakes. Whether you are an amateur baker or a seasoned pastry chef, we hope you bring a new bake, meet new friends, and sample all the sweet delights of your fellow cake enthusiasts surrounded by art. To-go boxes will be available to help you grab as many slices as your heart desires, avoid waste, and give you an opportunity to continue sampling and sharing your bounty after the event.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following disclaimer: The cakes at this event are made in home kitchens and brought in by individual attendees, not prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen. Consumption of these cakes is at your own risk. While we encourage participants to label their cakes with ingredients and potential allergens, the event organizers, hosts, volunteers, and sponsors are not responsible or liable for any illness, allergic reactions, or other issues arising from consuming these homemade cakes. Please exercise caution and personal responsibility regarding your dietary choices.
Standard event ticket includes museum entrance, a box to fill with cake slices, and complimentary yuzu green tea provided by YUZUCO.
VIP ticketholders can attend and taste cakes, without bringing a cake of their own, limited quantity.
Presented in partnership with The Big Cake Exchange, organized by Jill Nguyen and Tiffany MacIsaac.
