NMWA Presents Pianist Jenny Lin
Oct 24 2018
WASHINGTON—The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) presents a lineup of acclaimed performers as part of the annual Shenson Chamber Music Concerts under the artistic direction of Gilan Tocco Corn. Through these concerts, the museum carries out its mission of recognizing and supporting women in all areas of the arts. Women musicians performing in the museum’s free concert series have been impressing audiences for more than 20 years. The series was named in honor of Drs. Ben and A. Jess Shenson, who were longtime supporters of the museum and lovers of music.
Join NMWA in welcoming pianist Jenny Lin on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 7:30–9:30 p.m. Lin is one of the most respected young pianists today, admired for her adventurous programming and charismatic stage presence. She has been acclaimed for her “remarkable technical command” and “a gift for melodic flow” by the New York Times. The Washington Post praises “Lin’s confident fingers . . . [and] spectacular technique . . . surely one of the most interesting pianists in America right now,” and Gramophone magazine has hailed her as “an exceptionally sensitive pianist.”
