Support Our Mission
Since its opening in 1987, the museum has presented more than 300 innovative exhibitions, welcomed more than 3,200,000 visitors, and served over 340,000 people through a wide variety of education programs and activities. The generous support provided by corporations, foundations, and local and national governmental agencies ensures that the museum’s impact remains meaningful and strong.
Foundation and Government Support
Our vitality and growth would not be possible without grants from foundations and government agencies, which play a central role in making the museum a vibrant force locally, nationally, and internationally.
Funding from these donors provides key leadership contributions for the dynamic Women, Arts and Social Change initiative; the successful ABC Summer Teacher Institutes; collections care and maintenance; acclaimed and popular exhibitions, such as Sonya Clark: Tatter, Bristle, and Mend, Ursula von Rydingsvard: The Contour of Feeling, Rodarte, Women House, and Magnetic Fields: Expanding American Abstraction, 1960s to Today; as well as general operating support.
